In 2009, the Brazilian artist was awarded at Semana Portinari with the work "A Menina". Trained in London, where he also worked as a live model for renowned English painters such as Lucian Freud, Renato Grecco admires great icons of world painting such as Van Gogh, Maurice Utrillo and Max Ernst. The list of inspirations also includes contemporary artists such as Amélia Toledo, Tunga, Vik Muniz and Chris Burden.
Renato Grecco's studio is located in Ribeirão Preto, the place where he was born. It was, however, trips to museums and galleries around the world, during his childhood, that made him embark on the path of Arts.
